José E. Cabrera

José E. Cabrera has been a medical device executive focused in the areas of regulatory and clinical affairs for 25 years.

During his career, José has built Quality Management Systems for start-up Medical Device and MedTech companies, as well as managing and mentoring global RA/QA teams for large companies. He has also successfully provided executive leadership and commercial strategy development for large, multi-nationals like Medtronic, Biomet, and Heraeus Medical Components while also providing critical support to smaller, early-stage, novel technology companies.

José has also been able to direct recently funded start-ups through critical FDA interactions by submitting various types of Pre-Submission Applications (Q-Subs), Breakthrough Device Designation requests, De Novo applications and Humanitarian Device Exemptions.

Jose has a cellular biology degree from University of Dallas, and is a US Army veteran having served as an infantry medic with the 101st Airborne Division in Ft. Campbell, KY. Jose currently lives in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
